1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to RED-IL ("the Bot", "the System", or "the Service"). By adding the Bot to a Discord server or using its commands, you agree to the terms outlined in this document. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not add or use the Service.

2. Security and Liability Limitation (Important!)

SEVERE WARNING: RED-IL is an independent project that relays public data from the Israeli Home Front Command. The System is NOT a replacement for official state alert systems (sirens, official apps).

In any real-time emergency, you must rely ONLY on official Home Front Command channels. The developers assume no liability for missed alerts, delays, server crashes, or any direct or indirect damages resulting from reliance on the Service. Use of the Bot is entirely at your own risk.

3. Privacy, Permissions, and Data Collection

We respect your community's privacy and enforce a minimal-permissions policy. The Bot only requests basic permissions necessary for its operation (Read Messages, Send Messages, Embed Links).

What data do we store?

• Server ID and Channel ID to properly route the alerts.
• Configured alert zones/polygons for your server.
• Discord User ID of users who opted into Direct Message (DM) alerts, along with their selected cities.

We DO NOT read, store, or analyze any general chat messages that are not direct Slash Commands (`/`) executed towards the Bot.

4. Service Availability and Outages

We invest heavily in advanced cloud infrastructure to maintain 24/7 uptime. However, the Service is provided on an "As Is" basis. We cannot guarantee 100% uptime due to reliance on third-party services such as Discord and the Home Front Command API. We reserve the right to temporarily pause the service for maintenance at any time.

5. Acceptable Use and Abuse Prevention

Users agree not to abuse the system. The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Attempting to hack, reverse-engineer, or exploit vulnerabilities in the Bot.
• Using Bot commands to generate spam or intentionally overload Discord or Bot servers (e.g., automating the `/test` command).
• Using the Bot to harass other users.

We reserve the right to blacklist any specific user or server from accessing the Service upon detection of malicious activity, without prior notice.

6. Updates to the Terms

The RED-IL team reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Service periodically. Major changes will be announced in our official Discord support server. Continued use of the Bot after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
